The Accidental Dancer

I asked Keira what activity she'd like to do since she's not currently enrolled in pre-school.  She asked to do a gymnastics class and it took me a while to find one that was a good fit.  I finally found a tumbling class at a local rec center.  On the first day we found out Keira was one of two kids in the class.  On top of that, the class wasn't exactly what either of us had envisioned.  During the class, the other mom and I talked and decided to see if we could switch the girls into the dance class that met just before the tumbling class.  An added bonus for us was we had a friend in there!

So that's how Keira came to be in a dance class.  For those of you who know our sweet girl well, you know she's not the girliest of girls and has issues with tight clothing and shoes so I was a little worried how it would go.  To my surprise she didn't complain about the clothing or shoes and had a wonderful time in the class.  This past Tuesday was the last class.  Even though she enjoyed it, she isn't interested in signing up for the next session or participating in the recital.  So, who knows when we'll see this dancing girl again!

They had the rec center all decked out for fall/Halloween so I snapped these pic's of Keira and Asher on our way out the other day.
