Catching Up

I can't believe how long it's been since my last post! I have so many pictures and videos I want to post, but I'm afraid I'll flood the system (I'm also afraid Ari will be waking up any second). I will try to get a few pic's from Thanksgiving weekend in this post and maybe do some more catching up this weekend.

We went to Wichita for Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. It was cold, cold, cold and even snowed Friday night. It was gone by Saturday afternoon of course. We made a quick trip to Hutchinson so Ari could meet his 2 great, great aunties. They loved him as did all the tenants of Wesley Towers :) Ari spent lots of play time with his cousin and we ate way too much yummy food for Thanksgiving and in celebration of Papa Chuck's 60th birthday! (Ari learned to say "Papa" this trip!) We were also able to see the Bilberry's as they passed through Wichita on their way back to Springfield. Ari did great in the car both ways and we're hoping for the same in a few short weeks as we return then venture on to Denver for Christmas.

Now for a quick Ari updated (since that's mainly what I intended this blog for): still not walking, but getting closer everyday. He stands up on everything and cruises as far as he can. His vocabulary is growing like crazy "babye" (complete with waving), "cock-cock" (for cock-a-doodle-doo), "oof", "whoo", "carter" (our babysitters dog), "cokee" (for coffee), "ca" (for call when he sees the phone), "bu" (for button when he wants to push one), "bi buh" (big bird), "c-kee" (cookie monster)and his favorite food "nana!" He's just too much fun! :)

Denver Visit

Ari and I took a quick weekend trip to Denver to visit my family. We had a great time. Ari's becoming quite the seasoned traveller. He's fine on the plane, but sleeping in a strange bed is another story. Hopefully this will get him geared up for our Thanksgiving and Christmas trips in the coming weeks.

Ari's vocabulary really started blossoming this weekend, too. He quickly caught on to "grandpa" saying "bop-bop" and even called grandma "talk-talk" quite appropriately one time! :) He also started practicing all of his words when we were snuggling before bed. He would quietly run through "guck, gog, babye, dada, mama, nonono...." over and over as he lay his head on my shoulder. It was too cute!

Here are a few pictures from our visit. Enjoy :)
