Mother's Day continues to become more special and entertaining as the kids get older. Here are the gems my oldest two brought home from school this week. There were tears of laughter and joy. (You may have to click on the pictures in order to read the text more clearly).
From Keira:
After Keenan and I finished reading Keira's worksheet out loud, Ari turned to Keira and said:
A: Don't you know how old Mommy and Daddy are?
K: No.
A: I've told you before, they're 34.
K: Oh. I forgot.
A: (turning back to us) Sometimes when she goes to sleep her brain gets all mixed up!
From Ari:
Ari's teachers compiled a "Cook Book" with "recipes" (I use those terms very, very loosely) from each of the students. If you ever need a good laugh, just ask me to show you this book. I've only included Ari's excerpt here. (Sorry, I cannot for the life of me get it to orient properly, though.)
Asher and I even had a fun moment today when we ran into one of our labor/delivery nurses at Target. She was so sweet then and now. It was a nice reminder of how I came to be a Mommy in the first place :)
Happy Mother's Day to all my fellow Mommies out there!
