Do you Skype? and Weekend update

Yesterday Keenan spent some of our government rebate money on a webcam for us. We're planning to use it so our families can see Ari (and us, of course) more often. So, we are now members of Skype. If you have a webcam or are already a Skype member, let us know so we can chat with you as well! :)

In other news, we're currently enjoying our extra-long holiday weekend. We met Keenan's parents up at Eisenhower state park at Lake Texoma on Thusrday for a night of "campum" (as Ari calls it). Ari LOVED being outside and playing with Papa and YiaYia. We saw some crazy Texas wildlife including a Giant Desert Centipede, a tarantula and a pack of armidillo! We had a hard time getting Ari to sleep since it was still light out and he could look out the tent window and see us sitting around talking. Just when we thought he was asleep, we'd hear "I see sou!" It was hard not to laugh. He was awake with the sun and asleep within minutes of us getting in the car around 9 to head home. Papa and YiaYia followed us home to spend a couple days with us. We did some shopping, visited Lake Arligton and Keenan and I enjoyed a date night while they babysat Ari for us! :) Today we did a whole lot of nothing and don't have aything planned for tomorrow either. Ahhhh...

Big Boy Room

Ari moved into his big boy room almost a month ago. I couldn't have asked for an easier transition. He took right to it even staying in bed for nap and bed times. He would call for me to come get him out of bed when he woke up from either. The whole time he's known how to get in and out of the bed, but he simply wouldn't when it was time to sleep. Unfortunately, those days have come to an end. The other night he discovered he could get out of bed once I laid him down and Thursday he didn't take a nap at all! He just kept getting up and playing with the toys in his room. The good news was that he stayed in his room playing quietly despite my attempts every 30 minutes or so to lay him down. That night he fell asleep in the middle of his floor after getting out of bed. Yesterday he took a short nap on the floor as well. I tried using the baby gate to at least keep him in his room so I could get my work done. We had to put him back in bed at least 10 times last night as he tried to sleep in the hallway! Today he's finally napping in his bed and I hope it's a good one after a couple days of less sleep. I'm hoping the novelty of getting out of bed will wear off soom and he'll be back to his regular sleep habits. We'll see!

PICTURES!!

I decided the quickest and easiest way for me to post pictures would be to make an album of some of the highlights from the past month or so. I tried to caption the pictures so you can tell what I was documenting. He's getting to be such a big boy! Speaking of being a big boy, I still need to take pic's of his new room and I also need some "after" pic's of his haircut from the other day. It was the first time I cut all his hair (not just a trim on the back and sides). You can kind of see it in the last pic. Enjoy!! :)
