A Very Full Weekend

Keenan had last Friday off in honor of Cesar Chavez day (he technically works for the state of California which is the only place where this holiday is observed).  Taking advantage of this day off and a Groupon, we drove up to Plano so Keenan and our church's youth pastor could test out the Flow Rider - an indoor surfing simulator.  They were able to surf for over an hour and had a blast!  The kids got bored quickly so we took advantage of the play area in the mall.

About an hour after we got back home, Keenan's parents along with our oldest niece and nephew arrived for the weekend.  The kids all spent the rest of the afternoon playing outside, riding bikes and running around while the adults relaxed in the shade with some cold beer :)

Saturday morning we packed a picnic lunch and made our way to the train station.  We rode the local commuter train into downtown Ft. Worth and walked to the nearby water gardens.

(Keira was being defiant and refused to get in the picture)

The Quiet Pool

The Aerated Pool

"Walking on Water" as the kids called it.

The two little boys fell asleep in their strollers on the way back to the train station.

We were all exhausted after that excursion so it was movie time when we got home and more playing together after that.  We parted ways Sunday morning and filled that day with church and errands.  Sunday evening I turned to Keenan and said, "We sure packed a lot into that weekend!"

It all looks like fun! (I didn't know there were surfing-simulator places - very cool!)
