11 Months

This was about the best picture I could get of our little 11 month old today.  I later learned why when I felt his hot forehead and his temperature read 101.  Poor little boy :(  Other than the fever and not much appetite, he seems ok.  We'll see what the morning brings.

On a happier note, here are some of the fun things he's been up to in the last month.  His tooth count is up to 5:  2 on the bottom and 3 on the top (missing one of the front ones.  I hope it comes in soon before the others get much bigger.  It looks kind of silly!)  His hair is getting so long and has started curling up in the back.  It also seems to be coming in lighter/blonder than the ends.

Asher's crawling has greatly improved and there's no stopping him.  He loves to play chase with Ari and Keira and they think it's hilarious.  He loves them so much.  He still only pulls up to his knees, but I did catch him trying to get to his feet the other day.

Asher started clapping the day he turned 10 months old (forgot to mention that in my previous post) and loves a good round of patty-cake.  Recently he started shaking his head no and does it correctly when he hears the word.  He can say and sign more and all done and says Asher, nigh-nigh and bubba (for brother).  On occasion he'll say cracker and hot dog.

We've had a rough month getting Asher to sleep through the night after our holiday travels.  This past week we finally made some head-way and I'm really hoping that whatever bug he has won't ruin all the work I've done.  What happened to my baby that slept so well when we brought him home?

A few weeks ago we had some further tests done and confirmed that he is not allergic to soy (his blood work had come back positive).  Since then I've been working on weaning, but it's pretty slow going for now.  I'm not in any rush since he's our last baby and with his milk allergy it's probably for the best.  We have introduced soy yogurt and cheese both of which he seems to enjoy.  He's making the transition to all table food and doesn't care for me to spoon feed him much anymore.

I know it's cliche, but I really can't believe he'll be one next month!  The other morning he looked so different to me when I got him out of bed.  He almost looks like a one year old now.  He'll always be my baby, though!

Sweet boy! Bummer about the fever. Praying it's nothing and he's back to himself tomorrow. Crazy how fast a year goes.

It's not cliche, it is hard to believe!
